I stopped planning my week. I let last week plan it.

Sunday planning is a guess made by whichever version of you had a good weekend.

Sunday planning is you guessing what next week looks like based entirely on how you feel on Sunday. Mine was mood-driven for nine years and it showed. Every plan was written by the optimist.

Now the evidence writes it. What finished, what slipped twice, what I moved three times and then quietly dropped. The draft comes from that, not from my mood, and it arrives already wrong in ways I can point at.

I still edit it every week. I have just stopped starting from an empty page, and I have stopped negotiating with an optimist at nine on a Sunday night.
