Your to-do list is a to-do lie

A list with ninety items on it isn't a plan. It's a place where intentions go to be forgotten honestly.

At one point my list had ninety-one open items. Not one of them was going to get done that week, and I knew it, and I kept it anyway — because deleting a task feels like admitting failure, even when the task was never realistic.

So I built a rule: anything that survives four weeks without being touched gets removed automatically, no confirmation. The list is honest now. It's short. And for the first time, everything on it is actually going to happen.
